Mill Creek 6th Grade Girls and Boys Gwinnett Basketball Champions
 February 10, 2008: Mill Creek earned two Gwinnett Basketball League Championships this weekend. The 6th Grade girls beat Parkview in the final game of the tournament 18 -6. The girl’s team consists of Madeline Beck, Jasmine Carter, Rachel Gann, Kathleen Haxton, Shannon Haxton, Laney Hudson, Sammye Martin, Sidney Sager, Blakelee Slaton and Tiffany Styles. The girls were coached by Jack Gann.
The Mill Creek 6th Grade boys team beat Peachtree Ridge 50 – 35 in the finals. The boy’s team consist of Seth Cheatham, Justin Edwards, Keanu James, Carter Governale, Josh Logan, Devin Mitchell, Logan Moseley, Kelvin Pittman, Austin Ragsdale, Eric Ritland, Andrew Sciara and Will Zimmer. The team was coached by Deric Governale and Charlie Sciara.
Both teams ended the season with a record of 18 – 1.
