Three Generations at Grayson Elementary
Beginning in 1948, the family lineage began with Lynda Morton enrolling at 6 years old at the rock-building schoolhouse that was Grayson Elementary. Her grandson, Specialist Brandon Mitchell also attended our local elementary, as did his father, Michael Mitchell.
Going on her 21st year as a custodian at Grayson Elementary, Lynda was there to welcome her grandson home. Students in Mrs. Adkins's kindergarten class had lots of questions for Brandon. One little boy had brought a picture of his daddy who was over seas fighting.

Brandon started Kindergarten at Grayson Elementary in 1989. A cake and an American flag made painted handprints from Mrs. Adkins's class welcomed his homecoming. Once returning to the states, Brandon plans to go back to school at the College of Charleston.
