The most essential things...

The football Dads of Brookwood High School Senior Football athletes have interpreted "semi formal" to mean jackets, ties and shorts with really cute socks. In a much anticipated “Dad” picture, they set aside their unusual manner and at the urging of several Moms in the audience, “:jumped for joy”.
The lucky people in life claim a hometown and friends who have known them since way back... Nick Tompkins (#32) Zach Jackson (#45) and Michael Goudge (#49) have been best friends since they were 8 years old and now enter their Senior year at Brookwood High School with a strong friendship and a commitment to another strong season as Brookwood Varsity football players.
Dacula High School Senior football athletes and cheerleaders took a night off from practice and posed for their traditional Senior Cover photography at the Elisha Winn House in Dacula. The house was built in 1812 and when Gwinnett County was first formed in 1818 , Judge Winn had the courthouse in his barn and the jail in his backyard. Now almost 100 years later, football athletes led by Coach Jared Zito and the cheerleaders, led by Head Coach Stephanie Grant, are part of the next chapter in Dacula history,
The Grayson Athletic Association Cheerleading Camp was for one week at Grayson High School allowing the Grayson High School cheerleaders to work with the 215 girls, grades 1 to 8, in the recreation program. All squads learned cheers, chants and a dance to perform for the Grayson Community the last night of camp. Jennifer Anderson GAA's Cheerleading Director, Brandy Bortak, Assistant Director and the 16 Head Coaches posed with their abundance of talented daughters , and reminded me why
Grayson's ever growing state recognition extends to cheerleading talent.
Moving our photography indoors-- which is where thinking people try to be in the late summer Georgia heat
I photographed Christina Wilson , Senior at Mountain View High School. Christina needed one more outfit to wear to Senior portraits and thought of her recent “girls trip" to Build-A-Bear. She made the bold choice to pose in her pajamas with the bear. Her mom said Christina, the oldest of three sisters, is known for doing " fun crazy things like that.” After finishing high school, Christina will be enrolling at Brigham Young University in Utah and studying to become a teacher.
Jocelyn Quintanilla, a Brookwood High School Senior, is very passionate about music and has played the violin since 6th grade. She also plays the piano. Jocelyn has poor vision and she wants to be an ophthalmologist to help others in her situation.
Malachi Jones, who is playing his second year as a receiver at CGHS, lost his Dad Andre four weeks ago to an aneurysm. Malachi will be honoring his Dad in many ways but his football picture this year, is a tribute. Andre Jones played for Notre Dame from 1998-1991 and was a Linebacker that played on the National Championship Team in 1991. He was a hands on dad and they loved to do everything together from sports, golf, to riding in the car, and just talking. Sometimes in the middle of a crowded photo shoot or in the middle of a crowded day, everything but the most essential thing falls away.
